The Meerkat and The Butterfly

When my dad passed away in 2012, butterflies became our family's symbol for our memory of him, my gran especially. Every time she sees a butterfly it acts as a reminder of him and his love for her. I knew I had to make this beautiful sentiment into art.

But what about the meerkat I hear you ask? Well I don't remember when it started, but one day her house and garden were just full of them. Teddies, garden ornaments, fridge magnets… You name it; she's got it. 

So I had no choice but to bring the two together.
